	Every book, whether it is non-fiction or fiction, should be considered creative writing. The language and style of your book should convey your meaning clearly and vibrantly.
	Beginning writers often believe that the most important element of their book is the information they are sharing. That is simply not true. While your knowledge is essential, the single most powerful element in your book is your voice. Your voice is your presence in the book.
	Writing without an Authentic Voice is boring and will be quickly put aside by you, as well as by any reader. It's like listening to a telephone recording instead of talking to a live person. Maria Mar will make sure that your book carries your Authentic Voice and that it creates an intimate, powerful connection with your readers.
	Your book's style conveys your personality. You don't dress with a summer top and winter boots. Do you? When you write you need to keep your writing within the style you chose. 'Who am I writing for? For specialists? What kind of specialists? For the people? What people?

Why it's personal. Why you are willing to dedicate your life to saying this. I want you to move me to action by words that are coming from your heart.

"I also want you to tell me at least three stories that touch my heart, that make it personal for me. I want to recognize my nephew, my neighbor, my son in those stories.

Your are writing your book. Your computer is on and a file called "Writing Journal" is open.

You are facing a problem. This section of the book is not coming out. You keep getting distracted.

Instead of pulling your hair out or closing your book binder, you turn to the computer and start typing everything that is happening and what you are feeling. You look at the Personal History Email Template, and get more juiced up as you answer a couple of questions there.

Once you've vent out your frustration and dig out all you can think may be interfering, you copy and paste your journal entry into the email, attach a copy of the passage and click, sending it to your Book Mentor.

Now you can relax. You know that either of two things will happen.
